Grateful

I am a day late, but Happy Chinese New Year to you. Yesterday I was busy with My Creative Space and checking out all the other ones. It is now the year of the rabbit.

This week I am ever so grateful for the Chinese New Year. It has meant Chris got two public holidays in Hong Kong, and he came home to Melbourne to see us. We are loving having him home. Abbey wont let him out of her sight. There have been lots of cuddles and smiles. Sunday will be difficult, when he has to leave. I am trying not to think about it.

I am grateful, that while Chris has been home playing with the girls, I have managed to get some more packing and sorting done. Some more stuff was taken to the op shop, it feels so good. There is still a long way to go until the girls and I can move to Hong Kong.

I am grateful kinder has started for Abbey - she loved her first interview session, and while I was busy talking to her teacher, she was off making two new friends - I am so proud of her. I hope to get lots of packing and sorting done while she is off at kinder.

This afternoon, I am grateful my mum was able to look after Zoe, so Chris and I could take Abbey to see Tangled the movie.

How cute are these kids training chop sticks? Of course, they have been popular with Abbey as they are pink.

So many grateful peeps over at Maxabella Loves.

Have a lovely weekend.

  1. Such cute little chopsticks. Have you got the kids in training for Hong Kong?! Do you have a date when you'll all move over or are you waiting until you are all packed up and ready? Feeling for you with all of your single parenting at the moment - it's tough work.

  2. I saw some chopsticks just like these yesterday. And almost bought them. They are so adorable. What a good excuse to buy them. Chinese New Year. Perhaps I should read up on it more so we have another something to celebrate. Good excuse hey? And when do you move to be with hubby? Oh Cat, it's such a big move! Thinking of you as you work through the separation for a while... xx

  7. So happy your hub made it home for a long weekend. We have a new Kinder starter at our place too. I can't believe Cappers is in big school! It has gone really well (a few tears for the first couple of days, but she found her stride).

Those chopsticks are so cute! As was Tangled. Once I got over how scarily big Rapunzel's eyes were, I was okay.

    Happy new year. x

  10. I just bought our second set of these chopsticks as our Little Bro now demands his turn with set #1. The best thing about them is I can ditch the sticks and take the more compact helper in my handbag to whip out when we end up eating at a chopstick-requiring restaurant. The helper will hold most restaurant chopsticks.
